Morgan Rushton

My love for photography, design and print probably came from growing up in a creative family. Dad was a head teacher with a background in art and design, having been Jacob Cramers understudy through art college. Mum brought up the family and in her (limited) spare time made pottery, we had a potters wheel and kiln in the cellar!  

 

My career started out working for a local screen print company whilst attending college once a week on a design for print course.  The tutors saw I had a drive to get more out of the industry and suggested I contact a local repro company to enquire about an apprenticeship, which I did and was given an opportunity - the rest, as they say is history.

Years later having worked in various pre-press and print related roles, 10 years as a professional photographer, diving back into large format print, and latterly in print management I believe it's all about communication, teamwork and delivering something special for clients. The drive to 'make the unachievable happen' and motivation to keep going when all odds are stacked against you is what makes you stand out. Whether it's a small personal project or a major commercial campaign, my focus is always on the people involved, the critical path and ultimately, the deadline.

I believe in providing a passionate service that goes above and beyond. That's why I'm proud to say that many of my colleagues and clients become lifelong friends.

A few pre-requisites, my attention to detail, pre-press and colour knowledge and ability to use different print processes to achieve a specific result. Experience using industry-leading software such as Adobe Suite, estimating in Pace, Tharstern, Clarity and Accura. My ability to identify and circumnavigate potential issues and project creep, and overall to do it with humour and humility.
